Lots of people worry about getting the "right" flare on brake pipes and so they should - particularly if they are using steel pipes. Is it concave - convex or what?
Well, we've removed that worry by using what we call our 'universal' flare, on our pipes both Copper and Copper-Nickel.
We happen to produce one of the best ranges of flaring tools in the world - developed since the 1940's and we make more pipes by hand than anyone else in the world so we know a bit about making 'safe' brake pipes.
Using our patented OP1 and OP2 dies in our tools we aim to put as much metal as possible into the flare ensuring the best seal possible between any two connectors.
We never forget the critical importance of having good brake pipes that perform safely in a hostile environment for years.
